International festivals and celebrations have been affecting you ever since the day a certain date has been designated for their respective day. Christmas Day is celebrated annually every twenty-fifth of Decembers and is held in honor of the Christian tradition and belief as the day Jesus Christ was born. Santa Claus, pine trees, snow, snowman, and many other symbols have flooded the end of November and all throughout the December months in most countries regardless of the religious majority. New Year’s Day was based on the Julian calendar usually celebrated on the first day of January for each incoming New Year. Usually symbolized by a large gathering of partying people in streets, homes, parties, and a whole lot of venues with “Auld Lang Sayne” tunes being chanted usually ensues upon the arrival of twelve midnight in the new year of January. Greeting new years is a very fun occasion that explains the large of people who want to be a part of it yearly.

Independence Day differs from country to country. July 4th is popularly connected to the US among many others. Usually highlighted by a national celebration in each country that has been declared free and independent in some form of bondage or repression mostly in political and social abuse or tyranny. Fireworks, outdoor barbecues, flags displaying, and historical recollection or memorabilia are often displayed by proud citizens who are enjoying the fruits of their independence and freedom in their respective nations.

Valentines Day is also becoming a worldwide recognition celebration as the day for love. Like Christmas, V-day is often felt nearing when decorations are filled with symbols like cupids, hearts, flowers, chocolate and many other images usually illustrated in red. Spawned from the tradition of Saint Valentine who made the first Valentine card centuries ago, Valentine’s Day has become internationally recognized as a celebration of love and passion. Thoughtfulness counts very much so on February 14th for lovers and families alike.

Halloween is celebrated during the eve of the end of October. The tradition comes from a more Western background explaining that most supernatural beings are powerful on this day from old cultures and are commemorated by places that believe in folklore or have been influenced by Western cultures. Scary costumes and midnight parties also characterize the Halloween festivals although how or why it is celebrated can differ for different countries.

These are some of the most noted celebrations that most of the world continually observes year after year. Celebrations and festivals differ for each culture and other factors that can affect the holidays.
