Original Songs Can Make Your Wedding Truly Memorable

Every bride wants to make her wedding as unique as possible. From the invitation to the reception, brides do not want to copy the exact details from another wedding she has attended. And since the personality of the bride and groom will really show in their wedding detail choices, every aspect of the wedding can then be considered as original as possible.

Also for wedding songs, you can choose to have an original wedding song rather than play what is currently being heard on the airwaves today. An original song can show the story, the ideals, and the belief of the couple. Normally played during the couple’s first dance, an original song is an added bonus in an already memorable wedding.

Here are some possible sources of original songs for your wedding:

– An original song composition by the bride or groom. For some people, writing songs is a hobby, while for some, they are into poetry writing. If you have written poetry, that can work as well. Just find a professional to lay the music with the poem and it can work well.

– A song written by a family member of a friend is considered a very special gift. A musically-inclined friend or relative sometimes gives original compositions as a unique gift that the couple will truly appreciate.

– Hire a lyricist or a music composer to write a song for you. You can check your local directory for a listing of music composers specializing in original wedding songs.

– A local church choir member may be able to write down a new song for you. Relate to him or her your love story or highlights of your love story and he could be inspired to write down an original song.

– Find a nice instrumental track online and get someone to create lyrics that go along with it. Or write the lyrics yourself. Although this may seem difficult or daunting, you may find that it is not as hard as you expect. Instrumental tracks can be easily found by using the search engines or even searching on video sharing sites.

Here are some other reminders as well in choosing original songs:

– Remember that you cannot have your music selection in your wedding all original. Aside from the difficulty of gathering or composing so many new songs (which is time consuming and can be really, really expensive), the traditional or classic songs should always be included. This gives elegance and a touch of tradition when played.

– Most churches, for example, would require only traditional songs to be played inside the church. You can have more liberty in playing original songs during the reception.

– Choose the best parts of the reception where the original song can be played. You may want everyone to notice that the music is indeed an original song that reflects your love story.

What is important in an original song is that people will get a glimpse of the story and the love between the couple. It need not conform to the traditional song when it comes to length or structure. As long as it reflects the lives of the couple and audibly pleasant as well, an original song can truly make your wedding memorable.
