Ideas For Your Fairytale Favors

Brides often think of their wedding day as a scene from a fairytale. This is the time they are at their most beautiful and most glowing, and they are surrounded by beautiful people as well, and she gets to marry Prince Charming, and of course, live happily ever after.

Even as little girls, ladies want their wedding to be just like in the fairytale movies. And now that this is your chance to pull off your fairytale wedding, here are some suggestions on just how to do it. From the invitation to the wedding favor, everything must look coordinated. For your wedding favors, here is some basic information you need to know.

Some of the most popular icons or symbols when it comes to fairytale weddings are: palace, carriage, pumpkin, slippers, and tiara.

For edible favors, you can have any of the following: cookies, chocolates, cupcakes, and candied fruits. These are all sweet treats that are popular party favors. Your guests will be sure to enjoy these favors, whichever one you end up selecting.

For cookies, you can have them shaped in any of the symbols below, and if you know how to make your own cookie cutter, you can make these homemade as well. For chocolates, cupcakes and candied fruits, you can use candy sprinkles or frosting to draw the images or symbols on them.

For practical favors, choose among the following items: bookmarks, bottle openers, and soaps. These items can be quite beautiful when presented correctly and are also items that will be useful to your guests in real life.

For bookmarks, you can have them hand-painted with images of a palace, slipper or tiara. For bottle openers, you can have the handle printed with these images and for the soap, you can choose a special paper wrap with prints of these images to make them fairytale wedding-worthy.

Almost any item can be transformed into a fairytale favor, but if you want to truly make them special, visit online stores and look for their fairytale wedding favors for choices of keychains, candles and candle-holders in lovely prince and princess designs.

If your budget would allow it, some other elegant favors truly fit for a fairytale wedding includes porcelain photo frames and crystal decorations (in an iconic shape as well). Other options are jewelry boxes and truffle chocolates.

For these favors, especially the printed images, make sure that you use light colors and make the images have low transparency to make them more elegant. Too much use of fun colors might make your wedding seem like a children’s fairytale wedding. Keep the colors to a minimum to make it look ‘grown up’.

In the movie Bride Wars, bridezillas Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway indeed prepared for their dream wedding. Much like a princess, every single detail was tastefully coordinated (although the actual wedding ceremony didn’t really seem like it).
And who knows, with your creativity and resourcefulness, you can create your own fairytale wedding your guests will truly remember for a long time.
