You can never be too complacent in a relationship. There are couples who have been together for more than five years and yet they end up not being together. Blame several factors in a long-running relationship. But, come to think of it, it’s such a waste of time spending years with someone who will eventually not become your partner.

1. Become who you are.

You don’t have to like everything your man likes. If you don’t like watching basketball on TV, don’t force yourself. Make him feel that you will always be a friend and a lover.

3. Give him space.

Don’t be a clingy girlfriend. Stop all means of monitoring and interrogation because it will definitely upset him. Give him the space he needs at times and make him feel free in making certain decisions. If he heeds your advice, just be there for him. But don’t meddle in all his issues.

4. No tricks or games.

Women like to make their men jealous from time to time. Never commit this mistake intentionally. No matter how handsome your man is, if he is faced with another would-be contender for your attention, he has a tendency to be insecure.

Don’t flirt with other man nor tell stories about your past boyfriends. Tell him that, yes, it feels nice to know he is jealous but it may boomerang on you eventually. Just imagine how.

5. Meet his family.

Your man’s family is very dear to him and so you are. After months of being together, give him the idea that you want to meet and spend time with his family. Some guys dread this moment of introducing the girlfriend to the parents, brothers and sisters regardless if it’s informal or otherwise.

Why? Because it shows once step farther in the relationship. Find out for yourself what kind of family he has, if he has a nice family- he may also be able to raise such kind of family with you. Meet them and you will discover a lot.

These are just some of the tips on how to get a man commit to you. Just be consistent with your actions as a girlfriend-who knows maybe tomorrow, he’ll be at your front door, proposing before you.
