For the last 5 years or so, it seems like dating sites are popping up all over the Internet, and for good reason considering there are well over 900 million people all over the world that connect to the Internet every single day. These dating websites are for all sorts of reasons, such as dating, encounters, fetishes, etc. And there are also different types of dating sites online such as Christian, African American, Gay, Lesbian, etc. Obviously the reason for all the variations is because there are so many different types of people online from all sorts of religious backgrounds, ages, lifestyles, and locations. So what exactly are some of the benefits of joining sites like these?

Depending on what site you go to you will probably be allowed to do different things. Some sites allow webcams, others allow emails, PMs, chat rooms, forums, etc. But for the most part what you can usually expect as a prerequisite on most sites is some form of a PM or email system (where the receiver can’t see your email address) as well as an I.M center which will allow you to instant message users that are online at that particular time, or of course they can also I.M you if you have that options on.

You can expect to meet all sorts of interesting people from these sites with a range of likes/dislikes, hobbies, locations, what they want in a mate, what they are there for and so on and so forth. Now when joining these sites you will most likely be asked to fill out some information about yourself. Just be as open and honest as you possibly can be. And as a little side note; members with pictures do receive more attention versus a person that has no picture. It doesn’t matter if you “sound” like the best thing since white bread, if you don’t have a picture you will have less people contacting you. Now regarding the membership, there will usually be two types of memberships.

Free – This allows you to only do certain things on the website. It’s a restriction measure so to speak. Maybe you sign up as a free member and you are allowed to search for people, but you can’t PM/I.M them. Or it might be something else like you can have other people PM/I.M you, but you can’t PM/I.M them back. Whatever it may be, there will be some sort of a restriction that you can’t do, but other members can. And these lucky members are known as paid members.

Paid Member – These people are allowed to do pretty much anything on the site that is available. And in some cases they might even get extra added perks that the free member wouldn’t such as unlimited email and instant messages, chat, videos, games, cartoons, stories, over 18 toy stores, and much much more. Now in these cases I think it’s a whole lot better to be a paid member. And most of the time you can expect to see X amount of membership levels, usually these levels have a different price per X amount of time. So let’s say for example Dating Site ABC has 3 membership types. The first level is for one month, it is for $10, the second level is for 6 months, its $50, and the third is an entire year for $100. Simply choose the level you want to go with, and voila. You now have complete access to the entire site with zero restrictions!

The next time your searching online for a friend, partner, or someone to do “other” things with, take a look at these sites! Make sure you become a paid member too, or you just might miss out on all the exciting things the site has to offer!
